Power Injection with RGB Pixel Lights
For some projects, customers may determine that power injection is a suitable solution for their project. This page contains information generally about power injection, examples of how to perform it and HolidayCoro's support of power injection.
Please note that as of January 2019, HolidayCoro has changed our policy regarding power injection. While power injection was common from around 2010 to 2018, with the advent of Long Range receivers, the need for power injection in nearly every project is no longer needed. As such, we no longer provide any advice or design of systems involving power injection.
Power injection should only be implemented by customers that are highly experienced. Incorrect wiring will result in in the following:
- Damaged products including controllers, wiring and lights
- Possible fire damage when proper fusing is not included
Safety aside, systems involving extensive power injection are more complex, less flexible and often require more effort to construct and troubleshoot than using Long Range receiver systems.
