Used / 2nd Hand Hardware Product Purchase Support and Warranty Policy
HolidayCoro has sold lighting controllers and related hardware since 2008 and since that hardware often lasts decades - there are some customers that have sold their hardware to the next generation of lighting enthusiast. This page covers the specific details of our policy on such purchases. HolidayCoro is happy to work with 2nd hand/used customers on the purchase of new products or expansion / upgrade of used hardware.
Used Hardware Definition
- Purchases from individuals or business not operating as officially approved dealers of HolidayCoro hardware or not purchased directly from HolidayCoro.com
- Purchases made from eBay, Facebook Marketplace or other "secondary markets", including if such hardware is purchased from HolidayCoro through those marketplaces
- Equipment gifted, inherited or loaned from the original purchaser
Warranty Coverage
- Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser or direct family member of the purchaser (wife, husband, child) or the business that purchased the hardware. HolidayCoro reserves the right to determine the connection to the original purchaser.
- HolidayCoro does extend warranty coverage for to clients of installers, even if the purchase was made under the name of the installer. The installer must be a business, not an individual. Clients of installers may be required to provide proof of purchase from an installer.
- Warranty coverage is not transferable
Technical Support Policy
- While HolidayCoro is unable to provide free technical support directly from HolidayCoro staff for 2nd hand/used hardware - you do have the following support options available:
- Paid Priority Support can be purchased here. HolidayCoro will support anyone, with any HolidayCoro product, under priority support.
- Priority support does not guarantee that 2nd hand/Used hardware will be operational or that HolidayCoro will "make good" any hardware that is in a failed or damaged condition. HolidayCoro will make reasonable efforts to make operational any HolidayCoro hardware where possible.
- Community support can be found via our Facebook Support Group here.
- Firmware can be obtained from our website here by 2nd hand customers at no cost. HolidayCoro does not provide any guarantee of suitability or troubleshooting for issues involved with firmware. Firmware is provided AS-IS to all 2nd hand / used hardware users.
Hardware Repairs and Parts
- Controllers & Receivers
- HolidayCoro will provide repair services and/or replacement parts to any customer, including out of warranty and 2nd hand hardware.
- HolidayCoro is unable to provide free troubleshooting to determine the root cause of a problem that may require replacement parts. See our paid repair services above.
- Pixels, devices and parts
- HolidayCoro will provide spare parts to any customer, including out of warranty and 2nd hand hardware at no additional cost over original purchasers when such parts are available.
Liability Coverage
- HolidayCoro provides no liability, insurance or COA coverage for 2nd hand hardware, including for any product that is defective. Any hardware purchased used / 2nd hand are the responsibility of the 2nd hand seller.
HolidayCoro is one of the few controller vendors that provides free, direct technical support to their customers and providing high quality, experienced engineers to provide that support has a cost that is included into the original purchase price of the products we sell. We regret that we are unable to provide secondary market purchasers the same level of support at no cost but we are still here to support you with our additional services as indicated above.
